The Duchess of Crestignac has founded the first company specialising in accessories for warthogs. Mobility, comfort, dignity: in Crestignac, nothing can be left to chance—not even the ageing of a warthog.
An extraordinary steering-committee jamboree is therefore convened at headquarters to decide on the launch of the new walker for elderly warthogs.
— Your Grace, our studies show that warthog ageing represents an emerging market.
La DdC studies the prototype.
— Ageing is not a market. It is a span of time.
A manager then presents the studies, the protocol and the various stages of validation.
— Has an old warthog tried it? asks La DdC.
— Not yet, Your Grace. We first needed to validate the testing protocol.
— And the protocol?
— It is to be validated during this steering-committee jamboree.
La DdC pauses.
— How reassuring. The walker is going nowhere, but the project is moving forward.
At that moment, an old warthog enters the room using the prototype. He calmly crosses the room under the gaze of those assembled, then leaves through the other door.
La DdC returns to her file.
— I believe we can now move on to the next item.
In Crestignac, innovation does not necessarily mean moving faster. It must also allow everyone to keep moving forward.
