It was in the prestigious setting of the Duchess’s Library in Crestignac that Besla chose to publicly endorse the education policy led by Monsieur Buskin, Minister of Education.
For the occasion, the singer had evidently decided not to go unnoticed.
Besla arrived in one of his most remarkable stage costumes: generously flared white trousers, a matching jacket covered in rhinestones, embroidery and jewels, a monumental belt emblazoned with the golden warthog and, beneath the jacket, the now much-noticed T-shirt:
LET’S EDUCATE!
A sartorial choice that allowed the artist to reconcile support for public education with the demands of show business.
Before the shelves of the Duchess’s Library, Besla posed at length for photographers, an antique volume in hand.
The ministry did not specify which one.
Nor, indeed, was that necessary.
For several weeks now, Monsieur Buskin has been reiterating the two fundamental principles underpinning Crestignac’s education policy:
“Let’s make pralines! Let’s educate!”
A doctrine that the duchess’s family now appears to have decided to support personally.
The division of responsibilities is clear.
His mother makes pralines.
Besla educates.
The singer made no statement after the photo session.
As for the book he was holding, his entourage confirmed that it had not been opened.
It was there for the photograph.
