La DdC and the Presidential Nouple
A political photo-novel: La DdC enshrines the nouple in the Fundamental Charter, creates the Presidency of the Territorial Council and forms Crestignac’s first universal presidential nouple.

Having had the nouple enshrined in Crestignac’s Fundamental Charter, the Duchess creates the office of President of the Territorial Council and promptly has herself elected, lest this responsibility fall into less prepared hands.
The new presidency does not replace the ducal dignity. It complements it institutionally. La DdC thus becomes the first person simultaneously to ensure the territory’s continuity, preside over its institutions and provide the official interpretation of her own decisions.
True to her doctrine, she then decides to lead by example, forming the first universal presidential nouple around Hervélien Auguste.
La DdC presents the reform to the Territorial Council. Representatives of the first nouple are received at the Grand Palais de Crestignac, where a commission adapts the union booklet by adding as many pages as necessary.

The first official nouple marriage is celebrated beneath the ceremonial warthog. Asked about the exact number of spouses permitted, the commission explains that any limit might prematurely exclude someone whose presence had yet to be decided upon.
No sooner has she been elected President of the Territorial Council than La DdC commissions her official portrait. It is sent to every municipal hall in Crestignac.
Protocol stipulates that it be installed between the official warthog and the register of prior recognition. Every public building must also keep a space free for a future version of the portrait, should the President come to hold a further office.
Hervélien Auguste remains the longstanding partner, ensuring dynastic continuity. The President then surrounds herself with a young rapper, a young adult punk woman with a dog, gay couples and partners of diverse backgrounds and origins.
The nouple becomes an institutional demonstration of universality. Even the young punk woman’s dog appears to enjoy the status of associate spouse, subject to approval by the relevant department.
La DdC is not cheating on Hervélien Auguste: she is complementing him constitutionally. Infidelity becomes a territorial public-service mission, marriage a piece of Crestignac’s infrastructure, and trust an obligation freely accepted by decree of the Council.
